Start in the home
There are dozens of ways to keep one's household "green". You can recycle, use compact fluorescent light bulbs in all or most light sockets, take shorter showers, turn your computer off when your not using it, and switch to environmentally friendly household cleaners. Changing to "green" cleaners eliminates toxins in the home. Ordering cleaners from a carbon neutral company lessens YOUR carbon footprint on the earth.

environmental clubs
I know in schools, they're doing more environmental clubs, and their recycling more....and don't forget to switch your regular lightbulbs to eco friendly ones....that helps, because they say kids are the future, and so if they start now, that'll really help.
Good teachers that inspire

When I was in high school, I actually took an environmental science class with the best teacher. One activity that we did really woke me up to how wasteful we were.
Ms. Klein had us carry around a trash bag for 24 hours to see how much trash the average teenager accumulates. Needless to say, you'd be amazed at how much crap we threw away, especially paper.
Also, Cradle to Grave Analysis was a good one
Oh yeah, and the phrase NIMBY...."Not In My Backyard"
Referring to how people don't care to recycle and go the easy route; trash ending up in landfills. But no one wants that landfill in there backyard, eh?
Her lessons and teachings brought me to be environmentally conscious. And for that I thank her!
