David Jon Sponheim is the only candidate with a tangible solution that will help us live with the impending Climate Crisis. By creating a Seawater Pipeline that can passively desalinate water, we can turn the deserts into habitable havens and export that technology to the Middle East and Africa. Access to water will lower tensions between Palestinians ans Israelis in the Middle East. In Africa, it will allow Chad to help the refugees from Darfur without depleting their own water resources. We also have plans to drop food aid in a way that will prevent warlords from hoarding food supplies meant for humanitarian relief.

Concerning nuclear, David Jon Sponeheim will consider fast-breeder reactors only. Fast breeder reactors may provide an answer to the question our ancestors left for us to solve- How to dispose of nuclear waste safely? These reactors can use the nuclear waste of the past to generate electricity and bring the waste material down to safer levels. These type of nuclear generators do not produce high radiation levels like the nuclear plants of the past. In fact, if these were built next to existing plants, we would not need to ship nuclear waste through our backyards to be stored under Yucca mountain. Instead, we can ensure we are able to obtain all electricity from this material that we can.
