I Would Agree
In the long run, building green (and living green) should save you money. How to optimalize those savings through the use of green elements (e.g., insulation, passive solar, renewable energy, landscaping, etc.) depends on where you live and how you live. In other words 18" thick super insulated walls might be more appropriate in Vermont and solar hot water more a no-brainer in Arizona and less so in Alaska.
