About our OrganizationWe write about our home renovation and energy conservation activities. Through participating in the ecoENERGY Retrofit program we have undertaken both a home energy audit as well as many energy conservation renovations in order to reduce our home's consumption of non-renewable resources. As we experience different home energy conservation renovations and activities, we write about them to inform and educate the average home owner. Our Sustainability Vision and StrategyEnergy conservation for the home should not be complex, costly, time consuming or reduce the home owners lifestyle choice. Average home owner does not focus on energy conservation day-in-day-out; neither does the average home owner have unlimited financial resources to purchase every latest and greatest energy conservation product. Energy conservation in the home should be in terms that every day home owner gravitates to, inexpensive, and minimize any impact their life style. Attributes of the varied energy conservation tasks should be easily and consistently identified, allowing the home owner the choice to easily identify those steps and activities that are important based on the home owner's own set of values and not anyone else's values.
