MyOpolisHelp Build Greenopolis |
I am one of the founders of Greenopolis and firmly believe that unless and until every person, company and organization that makes up our individual and collective communities works together towards living more sustainably, then we will not get there...or at least very fast. That statement however implies I am doing my part which I am not. Like everyone, I am consumed with working and providing for my family and frankly although I have passion for Thinking Green, it is hard to fit into my daily routine. As a result, I need coaching, encouragement and motivation to do the right thing. That is the goal behind Greenopolis. I wanted to develop a resource that folks could use to help understand both what challenges we face, and the small things they can do incrementally to help. The commercial aspect in the site helps bring lots of companies together in a more real life way in order to provide incentives to the members to encourage their continued pursuit of incrementally living a greener life every day. The concept is simple, the work is hard. Hopefully we can work together to move the needle.
