Meet The Cloud Institute

About our Organization

The mission of The Cloud Institute is to ensure the viability of sustainable communities by leveraging changes in K-12 school systems to prepare young people for the shift toward a sustainable future.

We are the premier organization that equips school systems K-12 and their communities with the 9 EfS Core Content Standards and habits of mind that characterize education for a sustainable future. We do this by inspiring teachers through professional development and consulting so they can engage students through meaningful content and student-centered instruction.

We also work with communtiies to develop a sustainble vision and provide guidance towards acheiving that vision.

Our Sustainability Vision and Strategy

The Cloud Institute believes that:

There is hope for a future with a healthy environment, a strong economy, and a just society

Young people must understand the important role they play in creating this sustainable future. The best way to reach young people is by working directly with their entirecommunity – educators, government officials, community members, and the business community

Effective education combines engaging and relevant content with the highest quality pedagogy

And, most of all, we believe that we can help!
