Do you use real trees during the holiday season?

I'm using a fake tree until I leave Hawaii because I fear the giant centipedes that we're pretty sure came into our house on the tree when we used a real one the first time. Once I move back to a cooler climate, I plan to use live potted trees that I can plant in my yard afterwords.
I don't use trees.
Growing up, we always had a live tree at Christmas. But now, I forgo that aspect of Holiday tradition all together. I figure none is better than either one!
