the schools should be
the schools should be teaching their students how to recycle and they should start recylcing besides just teaching they could deffinatly reduce the amount of paper there is in the trash by having more rooms that have recycle bins in them
I want all the choices in the poll
I would like it if businesses took more responsibility for the stuff they make and how ends up being disposed. Products could have detailed information on how to recycle or reuse them properly to keep them out of the waste stream.

your voice matters
My pal owned a sustainable cafe for a while. People would order espresso to go or a cup of coffee to go all the time. She would actually stop them and ask, "Wouldn't you like to sit a moment and enjoy your fair-trade coffee? In a real mug? You can save a paper cup today, and give yourself a break."
It made people think differently. Sometimes she would ask them, "Are you really going to leave with it? I'll make you a deal, if you don't finish it, I'll pour the rest in a to-go cup for you."
What ended up happening was that people would bring their friends in for coffee or snacks and when their friends ordered stuff to-go, the patrons would correct them. She gave them an example.
Some people think they are "stepping on toes" or being rude by mentioning recycling or reducing waste. One woman helped a lot of people find their green voices. She was an eco-inspiration.
Start Yound
While I think they are all good ways to educate the masses, I think we accomplish more by starting young. If you can get the kids motivated about recycling, they will push their parents to become more environmentally friendly.
All are great ways to get
All are great ways to get the word out there, but let's try to cut back on the flyers in the mail one because that can become an extreme waste of paper. There are many other ways to inform the public and Im sure we're all familiar with where our "junk mail" ends up...
anything will help. as you
anything will help.
as you may have noticed, most people are already trying to rep the whole green movement, for whatever reasons they so choose, but it's all proven effective, everyone seems to be talking about their concern for the environment, it's a form of brainwashing, and it is corporately honed so it won't make a lasting real difference, but it shows you how the american mind is manipulated.
You need monetary backing from a large corporation to even begin to see concern that can compete with the completely unimportant issues being shoved in our faces.
I don't think the flyers in
I don't think the flyers in the mail would help because that is just using even more paper.
I think all of them are
I think all of them are important to recycle, but if we were to begin with recycling old papers, we can get goin' on the right path. XD
Both...
I think that we need all methods as we have, but as most effective
both more education in schools, and web sites, like greenopolis!!!

i agree
i think we need all methods listed here but if a commecial was to go on the super bowl it would impact a lot of people (1.2 billion people 159 countries and 169 million americans)
Yoz it up!™ and save the planet at the same time!
don't forget
Not to mention the fact that if it was done right people would be posting it up on YouTube and it might even make the DVD of the Superbowl comercials.
