I think this woud really

I think this woud really help me to make a more informed decision about what I buy. If they implemented it for all products (or at least all of one type of product) I could make a more "green" decision based on available info.

Agree too

I agree with what you say about all of the products or all of the products in a category, but my question for you would be this... if one producer put it on their package and another one didn't, doesn't that make the one who did seem as if they care more about giving the customers what they want. I think more people are wanting home-grown items. I would love to support our local economy, helps our street, schools, and other things right here in my own state. I love the idea and would love to see if my local store would submit it to their upper-ups. :-)

Miles to Store

I think any company that did this would gain more of the market in their specific industry. I would pay more for something that is produced locally. I think farmers should advertise more locally and tote the idea that their "Miles to Store" are very little. I am currently trying to get my meat and veggies from local farmers within 100 miles of my house. I would love to grow my own veggies, but I have a very small yard and my kids need to play somewhere. I am trying. Anyone have input?
