I don't own a bike--but I do

I don't own a bike--but I do walk and take public transportation. In fact, I am proud to say that I am probably the only American 30-something who has never owned a gas-powered vehicle.

Thanks to the phenomenon that is rural suburbia, biking to and from work hasn’t been an option for me. But I will be moving soon, to a smaller town, with an exception public transit system, and an area that is more bike-friendly – so it will definitely be something I will do in the very near future!

Biking to the gym

Default Avatar

I am really bad at biking. I wish I had the ambition to bike more often. The YMCA that I belong to is about 10 miles from my house. Energy Conservationists say that if I just rode my bike the 10 miles to the gym and back then I wouldn't need my gym membership. I would also save about $3 on gas. What a win-win solution. But I probably won't do it cause I like the weights and machines they provide. I will find other ways to conserve though.

It is super hot and humid

It is super hot and humid here in Florida, but I might ride my bike more regardless if I felt that I could carry things like groceries back. I'd also ride more if I wasn't so lazy and out of shape, though I'm working on that :P
