Good Question or Not?
On the surface this seems like a silly question with unrealistic answers, but it is exactly the type of question we should be asking ourselves. What if our systems were to fall apart? In our area we are starting to think of our small region as a lifeboat and looking to see how we would survive if everything beyond the confines of our valley stopped working. Others should do the same because if you solve this puzzle now, you will greatly increase your chances of survival should things go awry.

I Agree!
It really does help to think out possible solutions to this kind of problem right now, as it's entirely possible that this is going to be an issue down the road (and who knows how long or short that road is?!)
What "systems" (as Bob wrote), or solutions are we working on today to improve our future in that way?
Excellent food for thought!
