Here are five neat ways people have upcycled glass bottles.
Humans are creative. I searched on Flickr for different ways people are using empty glass bottles and I was quite impressed. After spending time scoping out the photos, I picked five of my favorite glass bottle endeavors. Here they are.
1. Chandeliers
That's right. The bottles hanging from the above fixture are whiskey bottles. If you scroll through the flickr feed of unique products now, you'll see more chandeliers made from a variety of bottles including Absinthe, Patron and Vodka.
2. Earrings
One glass bottle could produce several pairs of one-of-a-kind earrings. And it looks like Angela Smith from African Sand Stained Glass has mastered the upcycled pendants. The above earrings were made from a HPNOTIQ liqueur bottle.
3. Cheese Trays
Wine and cheese tend to go well together. Wine bottles and cheese? They tend to go well together, too. Who knew that wine bottles melted down so nicely? This glass dish would look wonderful at any dinner party.
4. Wind Chimes

I love this! If only I had a kiln at my house....This artist took Dr. Pepper bottles, melted them in her kiln and attached them to a piece of driftwood. The gorgeous chimes hang by a chain on her property down south in Texas.
5. Mosaics
And last, but definitely not least, broken glass bottles make beautiful mosaic tiles, like the one above at a bed and breakfast in Scotland. The mosaic, filled with flowers, a lizard, butterfly and more elements of nature, is composed of glass (including beer and wine bottles) and ceramic.
