Q:  What is a greenopolis recycling kiosk?

A:  Waste Management's Greenopolis provides you with an interactive, social recycling network.  The recycling kiosk provides consumers with the ability to deposit PET #1, HDPE, aluminum and glass beverage containers in exchange for rewards and discounts.

Q:  Does the greenopolis recycling kiosk give money back?

A:  The recycling kiosk does not hold any cash; however, certain kiosks in redemption states may print out the cash value of recycled items on a receipt that can be redeemed in the store.

Q:  How do I know if I am a redemption state?

Q:  How often are recyclable materials collected?

A: Collection times and rates will vary depending on location.  The location hosting the recycling kiosk is responsible for cleaning and emptying the recycling kiosk, as well as refilling the rewards cards.  If you feel that the location you visit is not being serviced properly, please email us at support@greenopolis.com

Q:  How do I become a greenopolis member?

A:  To become a member and start earning rewards, you can register at the kiosk or online at http://greenopolis.com/user/register.  To register as a new member at the kiosk, select the Register button and enter your information using the touch screen.  This will be the same information as your account online. 

Q:  Do I need to register or log in to receive points?

A:  No, you can recycle and earn points at any of our recycling kiosks without being a member; however to use the rewards codes for points you must be a registered member.  You will receive a receipt at the kiosk with the rewards code, which you can enter online at www.greenopolis.com.

Q: What kinds of rewards can I receive?

A:  Members of Greenopolis can earn great rewards like Fandango discounts on movie tickets and discount coupons at local restaurants, hotels and retail.  Rewards vary by location. Q: What is a greenopolis rewards card?

A: A greenopolis rewards card is a card that can be found at any greenopolis recycling kiosk. The card links to your greenopolis.com account and automatically uploads your points for recycling to your greenopolis account.  You can help reduce printed paper receipts by registering a rewards card today!

Q:How do I get a rewards card?

Rewards cards are available at all greenopolis recycling kiosks.  Cards are stored to the left of the touch screen.  If the location you are visiting is out of rewards cards, please send an email with the location information to support@greenopolis.com

Q:How do I register the rewards card?

From the kiosk for new members: Select Register from the welcome page and scan a card from the kiosk.  Follow the prompts to enter your new greenopolis account information.

From the kiosk for returning members:  Select log-in from the welcome page, then select get new card. Enter your existing greenopolis username and scan a new card for use.

Online: Please log in to your account.  Visit our homepage www.greenopolis.com and click on the link which says Register a Rewards Card. Enter in the number from the back of your card.

Q:Can I sign in to the recycling kiosk without my card?

Yes! To sign in, first press “Sign in” and then press “log in without card”  to access the on-screen keyboard. You may enter your greenopolis username here.  This will automatically upload your rewards points to your account.

Q:What kinds of rewards are available?

There are an incredible variety of rewards available from dining and shopping, to travel and special events. To see what rewards are available in your area, click “Redeem my rewards” and type in your zip code.

Q:How many points do I need to get my first reward?

Rewards are available beginning at 100 points. You can also donate your rewards points to charity without minimum.

Q:Are more rewards available beyond 100 points?

Yes, please see our Partner Offerings section.

Q: How do I use the reward?

To use the reward you must print out the coupon from the computer.

Q: Do rewards expire?

Please check the date which prints out on the coupon.

Q:Are rewards coupons transferable? Can I give them as a gift?

Yes! Rewards do not print out with your personal information and can be given as gifts or shared.

Q:What happens to my recyclables after I recycle them at the greenopolis recycling kiosk?

All recyclable materials collected are diverted from the waste stream and spared from a life in the landfill. Instead they are sent to reprocessing environments where they are reused and remanufactured into products of value.

Q:What do I do if the kiosk does not recognize my product correctly?

Product Material: PET #1 plastic, HDPE #2 plastic, Aluminum, or Glass beverage containers.  Please look for the letter or number inside the recycling arrow symbol.

Product Size: 16 FL OZ

Product Type: Carbonated, Juice, Water etc.

Store Location: City, State

NOTE:  Accepted materials vary by location.  Dream Machine only accepts PET #1 and aluminum at this time.

Q: What is CRV?

CRV stands for cash redemption value. For states that have bottle bill legislation, the amount given back to customers is equal to the amount that is paid at purchase. CRV is generally present on soft-drinks, waters, and beers but is not found on wine or milk.
