How it Works

Drop your shoes at any Reuse-A-Shoe collection point – found at Nike Stores, athletic clubs, retail shops, schools and universities, recycling centers and other locations across the U.S. and throughout the world.
Find a location near you
Nike transports your shoes to one of our processing facilities – located in Wilsonville, Oregon and in Meerhout, Belgium – and grinds them into one of three Nike Grind materials: Nike Grind Rubber, Nike Grind Upper or Nike Grind Foam.

Why it Matters

Reuse-A-Shoe and Nike Grind are part of Let Me Play, a global campaign to help kids from all backgrounds and ability levels unleash their potential through sports.
Since 1990, we’ve kept more than 21 million pairs of athletic shoes out of landfills.
We also recycle scrap materials used during our manufacturing process, helping us toward our long-term goal of zero manufacturing waste.
Nike has made more than 265 donations to new and refurbished sports facilities and many hundreds have been sold commercially using Nike Grind.
