Worn out. Play on.
Take your old kicks out of the trashcan and send them back to the track with Nike Reuse-A-Shoe, a unique recycling program that turns your worn-out athletic shoes of all brands into Nike Grind, a material used in sports and playground surfaces.
These recycled materials help build all types of facilities, from basketball and tennis courts to athletic fields, running tracks and even playgrounds.
With Reuse-A-Shoe, your old tennis shoes can create new places to play for young people around the world – while reducing the millions of athletic shoes going to landfills each year. Give your athletic shoes a second life now.
How it Works
- Drop your shoes at any Reuse-A-Shoe collection point – found at Nike Stores, athletic clubs, retail shops, schools and universities, recycling centers and other locations across the U.S. and throughout the world.
Find a location near you
- Nike transports your shoes to one of our processing facilities – located in Wilsonville, Oregon and in Meerhout, Belgium – and grinds them into one of three Nike Grind materials: Nike Grind Rubber, Nike Grind Upper or Nike Grind Foam.
