Erin Link

Erin grew up in Houston, Texas and has lived in The Lone Star State since her youth. Most of her childhood was spent at the pool or beach, so she has always been very passionate about the condition of our waters. She graduated from the University of Houston in May 2009 with a BFA in Graphic Communications. She began working as an intern with Greenopolis during her last semester in school and was lucky enough to start working full-time with the Greenopolis team last summer!

Erin’s work with Greenopolis involves a little bit of everything, including content/story ideas, graphic design for web, motion and print, and social networking with other online environmental communities. According to her, “There is never a boring a moment with this team!"

To live a green lifestyle Erin does anything that she can, from never leaving the AC or heater on when she’s not at home to carpooling to work. She reuses everything until it can’t be used anymore, buys natural produce, stays away from pre-packaged foods and is super conscious about the products that she purchases (as well as the packaging that comes with it). It helps that she doesn’t really like to shop…because she’d rather spend a day outside at the beach or at a park!

Erin says her list of green living practices could go on forever, “but the point is that none of this is difficult. It just requires making responsible decisions in your daily life."
