Project Manager for GreenOps/Whole Foods Market Kiosk Rollout
As an Eagle Scout, Jon has always been most comfortable in nature. He earned a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Tulane University, and after running the office of a well respected Land Surveying company in New Jersey for two years, he decided that he needed a change. So he moved to California in March of '08 to pursue music. Jon was a full time percussionist until he ran into one of the main founders of GreenOps, Paul Wolff. Jon had been researching different types of waste technologies, so he and Paul Wolff hit it off immediately. Paul brought him in to assist on the operations side of Greenopolis. The job was part time for about a week, and since then it has not slowed down! Jon says, “Working with Paul Wolff on the operations side of GreenOps has been an amazing experience; a crash course in management and entrepreneurship.” He is currently the Project Manager for the GreenOps/Whole Foods Market kiosk rollout, and will cover all forward logistics from here on out. To live a green lifestyle Jon exclusively recycles at Greenopolis recycling kiosks. He also has a portable silverware set so that he doesn’t have to use plastic spoons and forks! “When I have the time, I will grab a garbage bag and walk around my Hollywood neighborhood picking up trash. No better way to keep it out of the ground and ocean! Plus, it makes people think twice before throwing away their ‘waste.’” As far as being part of the Greenopolis team goes, Jon says “There's no better place to implement change than from the largest residential recycler in North America. We are surrounded by an ocean of plastic bottles - here's to fixing that.”
"Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers." Wordsworth
