Katherine Butler

Katherine is a Los Angeles-based writer with East Coast inclinations. Growing up in South Jersey, she felt her first green proclivities building dirt castles in the cornfields. After school, she traveled to Southern California to live out west for one year. Twelve years later, she now writes about west coast dirt. She is the Beauty Editor for Ecosalon.com and a daily contributor to MNN.com. She has written for other good green sites as well, such as Greenopia.com, Coco Eco Magazine and more. She currently blogs about eco beauty and green fashion for Greenopolis.

As a resident of Hollywood, she is also required to write for the small screen, with credits including Disney Channel's The Replacements and USA's In Plain Sight. When not writing for entertainment or the environment, she likes to hike around the canyons of Griffith Park and bike around tour buses in Hollywood. Greenopolis caught her eye via a kiosk outside a West Hollywood Whole Foods. Then it started showing up on my her Facebook.” To live a green lifestyle Katherine recycles, drives a hybrid and eats organic food. She even gets seriously judgmental every time she sees someone driving a Hummer!
