Blogger for Greenopolis
Trish was born in Colorado Springs but grew up in Newport News, Virginia. Some of her worldly travels include Germany and Korea, but that was only because she was an army brat. She graduated with a BA from Longwood University in 2002 and received her MA from Loyola College in 2007. After working as an English teacher, a comic book catalogue editor and a web copywriter, she currently loves spending her time blogging for Greenopolis and working part-time at Ukazoo Books in Towson, Maryland. Trish has always been a fan of protecting the environment. When she was 8 years old she began collecting cans that were littered behind her apartment complex to “make the woods cleaner for animals.” Since this childhood recycling endeavor she tries to be as green as possible, making her own compost from coffee grinds and food scraps, and recycling all paper, plastic and metal. She buys 100% organic or recycled whenever possible, and loves to support local green businesses. Writing for Greenopolis has enlightened Trish on numerous sustainability issues, and she hopes to continue to be “part of an amazing team that shares a love for the environment, unique perspectives on living green and a passion for recycling.”
